![]() There’s just so much to enjoy here the rewarding premise of its deck-building, the endless depth of its questing, the simple pleasure of its combat. Exciting, unpredictable, often nail-biting, sometimes frustrating but always absorbing, Defiant Development’s distinct take on an action based RPG is a true standout on Switch and well worth checking out.Īlmost impossible to categorize yet utterly compelling as a result, Hand of Fate 2 brings a new and unique RPG experience to Nintendo Switch. Each is unique, wielding useful powers in combat and on the strategic. There are four in total, unlocked over the course of the game. Hand of Fate 2’s seamless blend of card-based adventuring and action RPG battles help craft a truly one of a kind experience that’s managed to surprise me in all the right ways. Companion cards are one of Hand of Fate 2's best new features. Hundreds of new encounters, items, artifacts to upgrade, and all-new card suits – cross swords with imperial soldiers, northern raiders, corrupted mutants, etc. These are the cards that I normally use which i feel are generally good, and avoids needless combat which wastes soo much time/resources.Upgraded combat mechanics, whether it be dual-wielding daggers or two-handed mighty hammers, you can build up the combo meter to unleash powerful attacks. Hand of Fate 2 improves upon the original in every way. ![]()
